We had planned on having a quiet July 4th weekend, but that didn't happen. It started early friday afternoon at the boys' school. They had a parade with all the kiddos. It was cute they all had tie dyed shirts that they had made during the week. All the parents were out front watching as the kids came around.
Colt's class obviously isnt big enough to walk, so they pushed them in the cribs. It was really cute!!
Here is Dylan leaving his classroom
Dylan got to carry a flag, he was so proud!
Then on Saturday afternoon we headed over to the Haslet parade.
Where Dylan got to ride the Premier Academy bus in the parade! Here are Trent, and Dylan on the bus.
Scott, Colt and I waited on the road for them to come by. First came the fire trucks, Colt did NOT like the sirens.
Here are the boys on the bus waving to everyone and throwing out candy!
You didnt have to do anything to be in the parade other than sign up. There were some pretty creative setups.
This guy was driving a VW Bug and controlling this remote control car too. It was pretty funny!
Dylan got to go check out the fire trucks after the parade. He loved this!! Then a Care Flight flew in and the kids went up to check that out too. They had so much fun!!
While Colt was doing this....
The big boys had a snowcone and played in the jump houses.
They had so much fun!!
Then we headed home to watch the fireworks. We sat on our back porch and could see, Haslet, Sendera Ranch and all of our neighbors who were shooting fireworks too. One neighbor shot them for 3 hours straight, he finally quit around 1AM! We had ten nights in a row before and after where someone was shooting fireworks! It was crazy! Luckily Dylan loved them and Colt slept through them all!! So it was all good! Then Sunday and Monday we did a little swimming and enjoyed the long weekend!
